Corobrik has announced the appointment of Chief Operating Officer, Nick Booth, as the new Chief Executive Officer and the appointment of Chief Executive, Dirk Meyer, as the new Chief Operations Officer.
Corobrik chairman, Peter du Trevou, says that these changes
were made for strategic business solutions and they will enable the company to
grow while focusing on its customers. This customer-centric future vision will
be backed by efficient production at Corobrik’s national production network of
thirteen clay brick factories, including the soon-to-be commissioned R800
million new Driefontein factory.
Trevou says that the changes at executive level would enable
the company to draw on the individual strengths of these two highly experienced

draw from his retail skills and his strong commercial and marketing background
gleaned during his career with various building material suppliers including
Italitile Ltd. He will steer South Africa’s oldest brick producer through the
country’s recovery post-Covid-19.
Booth notes that Meyer’s strong engineering background and
production expertise is expected to facilitate the commission of the
Driefontein facility and, to continue Corobrik’s investment focus with the
building of a new facility in Durban.
Both executives will work closely together to grow sales of
existing products and to introduce new products to the market.
